It seems that the idea of reintroducing a ute (hybrid sedan and pickup) in the U.S. is trying to germinate in the clutches of GM. Currently, there are in Australia (Holden Commodore) and South Africa (Chevy Lumina). This ute would be badged Chevrolet and resume the mythical name of El Camino. The future El Camino, if she goes out, will probably propulsion based on either the Alpha platform (future Chevrolet Camaro, Cadillac CTS and ATS) or on the Zeta platform improved.
